Social Studies
Fourth graders study the regions of the United States. We explore the geographical features, the resources and economy, and the history of each region from east to west.
Notes and Presentations
Below are the class notes and Promethean presentations we use in class. Feel free to download and print them, or you can simply view them online. They are organized by topic. Each unit has summaries for each lesson, and the "Lessons" are the presentations I've created for use in class. Your child completes the notes in class, but if there was an absence or they were lost, you can get them here. If you have trouble accessing any of the materials, please let me know. To access the study guides I sent home, click "Lesson Summaries" under "Useful Links" on the right or choose the specific "Lesson Summaries" below.
For each region (East, South, Midwest, West), students are expected to be able to name and locate all the states in the region. The state capitals are not required. A map was included in the study guide, but there is also one available below.

GeoGuessr!
Try this out: You're "dropped" virtually somewhere in the world via GoogleEarth street view. Use the landscape and any other clues to figure out where you are, and earn points in the process. The closer you are, the more points you earn.
